September 1, 2003 Marina Single Sailing Club
FROM THE HELM
By Stan Dounn, BTS Editor
Thanks to everyone for making our Sunday Sails part of your summer routine (however, our events are not routine). A special thanks to those Skippers that have made their boats available for Sunday Sails, cruises to Redondo Beach, and Catalina. And a hardy thanks to the MSSC members and guests who have crewed to make it possible for the Skippers to sail our great Santa Monica Bay.
Although this warm summer of 2003 is behind us, a reminder that MSSC is a year-round activities group, thanks to Southern California’s year-round Mediterranean climate.
Please clip and review the MSSC schedule for the remaining months of 2003. Lots of things are going on and we don’t want you to miss a single event.
We would love for you to join our Board meetings. As members and prospective members, your ideas for future activities are welcome. The next Board meeting will be on Thursday, September 11 at Jim Provost’s boat, Rapallo, D-1305, behind the Pacific Mariners Yacht Club, on Panay Way at 7p.m. For directions, call 310-866-9439. Be a part of the decision-making for your club.
